What is SteonMod?

SteonMod lets you fuse the games you own: play Minecraft's character in another game's world, drop one game's creatures into a playground, or build a whole new game out of pieces of several. It's like Garry's Mod, but the pieces come from your real games, running on your PC.

The program you run is called Fusion. SteonMod is the whole project: Fusion, the routers, the docs and this website.

How it works, in one picture

Fusion starts your games itself, hidden in the background, and asks each one for a piece: the world it draws, a character, its creatures. Then it puts the pieces together on one screen. Each game still runs its own world, physics and animations; Fusion only connects them. Nothing is copied out of your games, and nothing of theirs is rebuilt.

What you can do

What it isn't

  • Not a cheat tool. Fusion refuses to attach to a game whose anti-cheat is running, and games with online anti-cheat only work through their own official offline mode.
  • Not a way to get games. Fusion only uses games installed on your PC, and never shares their files.
  • Not finished. SteonMod is in its first test; expect rough edges, and tell us what broke.
